Re: PB 7 Migration, Odd datawindow issue

I don't know yet if this is a powergen issue or a powerbuilder issue. I have an application that has been migrated from PB 7.0.3 to 10.5 via PowerGen, and I have noticed this issue:

On some datawindows, calling GetItemXXX on a compute field causes a run time error "DataWindow column type does not match GetItem type". These all worked fine in PB 7.0.3, but some don't. Seems to be random one (but consistent), and most work.

Has any one else seen this issue?

Re: PB 7 Migration, Odd datawindow issue

I am able to fix the issue by opening the datawindow in the datawindow painter and save it.

I think you may want to re-think that whole idea of not modifying code on a version migrate.

Basically because of this problem, I don't think we're going to be able to use PowerGen to migrate our PB 7 application.

Do you know what the required syntax change is in this case?
