Re: How to use PBG files - PB 9/PVCS

Hi,

We have used powergen successfully to convert our application from PB 7 to PB 9.

All objects are currently in PVCS and we are trying to get the pbl's built during bootstrap import to be recognized as source controlled.

We have generated the PBG files and copied them to the source folders and used PVCS to check the PBG files in.  When we open Powerbuilder it does not show the objects as being source controlled even though they are listed in the PBG.  Any idea what we are doing wrong?

Do we still need to use the "Add to Source Control" function in PB?

Have you added the PB9 versions of your objects to source control, or overwrote the PB7 versions?
Do you get the '+' sign next to the objects in your PB9 workspace?
Are you using a different root workspace in PVCS?

If everything is configured properly for your PB9 workspace, you shouldn't have to add the sources to PVCS.  Are the PBG files available in the directories with the PBLs?
