We've dealt with some very challenging Synchronize requirements over the last couple months. For example deleting and adding the same ancestor objects in different PBLs. Or removing a no-longer-user binary section from an object. Many others.
We typically think of the Synchronize function addressing a small number of changes, reflecting recently "checked in" changes. But in one recent case we saw the report (shown after the first Phase of the Synchronize) of changes:

3462 object(s) unchanged
92 object(s) added
173 object(s) deleted
This is also an application with very deep levels (>10) of inheritance.
After some work on this and a few similar applications we have incorporated new features and a few bug fixes, and they will be released as V13.5.
