I am trying to run a build and it seems to work in some cases from the GUI but not the command line (or batch file). I get a GPF but can't find the error file from Windows anywhere and there is nothing in the build log to indicate a problem.
It seems like I can regen the pbls, build the pbds and build and exe OK from the gui as single operations and run the whole build from the gui successfully if there are already pbds and an exe in the build directory. It did not create and pbds or exe if none were already present (again from the GUI).
I am running PowerGen 5.5.0.44 with PowerBuilder v9.0 build 7066. It seemed like this version of PowerGen was working ok with our previous version of PowerBuilder v9.0 build 6533. Is there any known issues with this newer patched version of PowerBuilder?
There are no known problems with that release and, in general, PowerGen is not affected by interim patches. I suspect something else has changed in the configuration. Can you send the (truncated) output log from a failed build? Are there existing PBDs that are overwritten in the build? If so are they write-protected? Do the PBDs build using resource files; PBRs? If so try removing the PBRs, temporarily and see if there's any problem with them.
Regards,
Phil
