Hi Phil,
Do you have any plans for supporting the "New Visual Style Controls" option that is available in the PB9 project options?
(I know... you're going to say that Orca won't cooperate... thought I'd ask anyway)
Regards,
Neil
Neil,
If you download the latest version, there is an option to support the new controls. The option is on the tabbed dialog where you specify the name of the EXE, icons, etc.

Hi,
I have some Applications that were built using PowerGen v5.5.1.1 that no longer have XP Visual Style Controls, when built with the latest patch version of PowerBuilder 9 - version 7236. The exact same PowerGen projects successfully built these applications with XP Style Controls using PowerBuilder 9 - version 6533.
Is there a newer version of PowerGen that supports PB9 version 7236 and XP Visual Style Controls?
Thanks,
Craig.
Craig,
I have not heard of a problem like this. Are you getting build errors, or are the controls just missing from the EXE?
What happens if you use a separate manifest file with the EXE? Try this by copying the template.manifest distributed with PowerGen to a file named yourapplication.exe.manifest in the directory where the EXE is located.

Phil
Hi Phil ,
I'm Using PB 11.5 and I would like that the buttons will appear in Windows Xp Style,
Pay attention that in Version of PB 9 the check box button was Include "Windows Xp Style"
and in Pb 11.5 The check box button means to Include "Windows Classic mode". (vice versa )
so my Question is: if I will choose the option in the check box in PowerGen of Windows Xp style if it really behind the screens will do the job or it will act as PowerBuilder method between versions 9 and 11.5 (vice versa ).
Thanks Tal.
Hi Tal,
I believe PowerGen will produce the results you expect in PB11.5. In other words, if you check New Visual Styles it will produce the XP style in both PB9 and PB11.5.
Let me know if I can help further.
Regards,
Phil
