Re: Use Powergen without a PB Installation?

Good evening

Is it possible to use PowerGen on a computer which does not have
any PowerBuilder installation?

I think about installing a 'build computer' which will only be used
for building PB applications so that there are no other tools,
patches, ... which could change the build behaviour.

therefore: which are the minimal requirements for PowerGen?

Thanks a lot in advance,
kind regards,
Thomas

Re: Use Powergen without a PB Installation?

You don't need a complete installation of PB, but you do need many of the "development" DLLs that are only available with a full PB license.

I've attached a CSV file which you can open in a spreadsheet (or as text) that lists all of the DLLs used by PowerGen at run-time.

Phil

Re: Use Powergen without a PB Installation?

One of our customers has pointed out that the list of required PB DLLs is missing PBCGR90.DLL (thanks Alok).  This is required when creating an executable.

Sorry for any confusion this has caused.

Phil
