Hi
I am using VersionEdit Version 1.20 for a long time. After Migration to PB 10.5.1 the targets exe is reduced from 700 k to 25 k.
Is there an upgrade to fix this issue ?
Regards Tinu
My version is 1.3.2.4 and it does not corrupt 10.5.1 executables. I would consider upgrading.
I you don't have success with the newer version (I would recommend it too), let us know.
Regards,
Phil
Hi
I just purchased the latest Version of VersionEdit.
The Problem remains the same. The PB 10.5.1 executable is shrinked from 924 k to 25 k.
The batch file:
Set module="D:\Development\f3\fuego3.exe"
Set vepath="C:\VersionEdit\VECli.exe"
%vepath% %module% /f=3.0.20.4666
%vepath% %module% /p=3.0.20.4666
%vepath% %module% /sk="CompanyName" /sv="Xtra-Soft GmbH" /sl=040904E4
%vepath% %module% /sk="FileDescription" /sv="Feuerwehradministration" /sl=040904E4
%vepath% %module% /sk="FileVersion" /sv="1,0,0,1" /sl=040904E4
%vepath% %module% /sk="InternalName" /sv="PB 10.5" /sl=040904E4
%vepath% %module% /sk="LegalCopyright" /sv="1997 - 2007 by Xtra-Soft GmbH & MHS" /sl=040904E4
%vepath% %module% /sk="ProductName" /sv="FUEGO/win" /sl=040904E4
%vepath% %module% /sk="ProductVersion" /sv="1,0,0,1" /sl=040904E4
If you need the exe file, pls. give me a mailaddress to send it ot (attachment doesn't work).
Thanks for yor Help.
Regards Tinu
The stand-alone VersionEdit product had not been updated to support PB10.5. That has been corrected.

Phil
Heya Phil,
G'Morning.
Is there any chance that SignTool is similarly afflicted??
I have the updated VersionEdit and it seems to be just fine, but it looks like SignTool is killing things in the same manner that Version Edit was.
SignTool is from Microsoft; is tat the one you meant?. And it definitely will not sign a PB executable.
We are coming out with the functions to do this in PowerGen.
Regards,
Phil
ahh, that explains it.... I had thought I had a version of signtool from you for that, but I guess I was mistaken.
