Re: flag /Q is not completely silent?

Still using PG 5.5.0.44
We are using the /Q argument to have silent compilations, but somehow, our scripts suddenly stopped working.
I removed the /Q and I got a message box : DataWindow Error / Datawindow Syntax has incorrect release number !!!!
I think that /Q dos not intercept this messagebox, and our script is forced to wait indefinitely...
Is this behaviour fixed in a later version ?
Thanks

Re: flag /Q is not completely silent?

Phil,

This message box is displayed directly by the PB compiler (the only case that I'm aware of).  Other then Sybase changing this behavior, the only other solution I can think of is parsing the Datawindow syntax in PowerGen to "discover" the error before we let the compiler at it.

Are you clear on exactly what causes this error?  Is it simply the "release x" syntax at the start the DW?

We can add the checking for this easily, but I want to make sure we understand all the causes for the error.

Regards,

Phil
