  I'm using AllFusion Harvest CM Workbench - 5.1.1 Build 12 - Patch 018. ADvantage 1.23
and Powerbuilder 6.5 build 444 on Windows XP.

I recently downloaded HarPB and am trying to evaluate it. (1.3.0.64 for CCC/Harvest 5.1.1)

Well, I configure it and connect ok to harvest, it recognise ok the pb app. I uploaded
a base version of the pb app sources to harvest and then:

when I try to check out for update an object HarPB hangs ...

"HarPB for CCC/Harvest V5.1.1 (Eval) has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."

On thing, when I try to run HarPB for the first time it fails to run asking for hsdk.dll

I searched the computer withoud success and later find the dll in a harvest's ziped patch.
Extract it and to the HarPB directory and then HarPB begin to work.

any ideas?

Hi Pablo,

My guess is that you need to update the hsdk.dll to the Patch level of Harvest.

The hsdk.dll is the programming interface provided by CA for Harvest.  For V5.1.1 the Patch for the HSDK is a separate download from Harvest itself.  (After 5.1.1 it is part of Harvest.)

Let me know if you need help in finding and installing the DLL.

I have two patches:

   HAR511PATCH018HSDK
   HAR511PATCH018HSDKWSAD2WIN

How do I know wich is installed?

And in the case is installed the correct one, is there a way to verify it?

perhaps, I think that Harvest must be updated ok, but, could be any other reasons than the hsdk?, platform, environment, etc.

well, too much questions for now.

  I installed the hsdk Harvest patch but still HarPB is crashing when trying to checkout an object

any ideas?

running on Microsoft Windows
Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp2.040919-1003 : Service Pack 1)

Check to see if there are multiple hsdk.dll's on your system.  The HSDK installation should place the correct dll in $HARVESTHOME.  What is the time/date/size of that hsdk.dll (unfortunately CA does not version-stamp their DLLs)?
