Re: UOs WITH EXCEL OLE CHECKING IN PROBLEM IN HarPB

Hello,
This is a old problem with HarPB. When we check in user objects with ole with excel sheets sometimes it works fine sometime it will delete the "PowerBuilder Binary Data Section" from the Exported file(Deletes the attached excel in OLE). So work around we were using is Check IN through Harvest 5.2.1 Patch 002 Build 64.  But Yesterday I added a new OLE Object to the user object & checked in using HarPB 2.0.0.3 for CCC/Harvest 5.2 and 7, After the PB exe build & run the application & try to invoke it is failing saying ole reference is invalid.

I checked out the object & edited the code excels in OLE missing. I have attached both the files. When we compare the both file we can see the last part "PowerBuilder Binary Data Section" is missing.

I used our work around to check in the object using Harvest it is not allowing giving error message "Text file contains invalid characters".

Can anyone respond & let me know the fix. I am unable the attach the files showing error.

We'll into the problem you're having uploading the attachments.

In the meantime, can you send the files to support@ecrane.com?

Re: UOs WITH EXCEL OLE CHECKING IN PROBLEM IN HarPB

Did you receive the e-mail follow up to this.

The files you sent were encoded as Unicode, not support in the version you were using.

We have a new version (in pre-release) that supports importing Unicode source files.  Let me know if you would to download a copy.

Regards,

Phil
