Re: Runtime error when try to run the build,

Hi,

I get an error message when I run the powergen build.

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" (This was the title of the message )

Program: ...les\E. Crane Computing\PowerGen Professinal\Pwrgn10.exe

The application has request the runtime to terminate it in unusual way.
Please contact application's team for more information.

Please advice.

Thanks,
Dror.

Re: Runtime error when try to run the build,

Hi Dror,

What operation are you attempting when the error occurs?  Are you running from the GUI or command line?  Has this build been successful in the past, i.e. has anything changed recently.

Can you send the output log (powergen.log, by default) for a failed build?

Regards,

Phil

Re: Runtime error when try to run the build,

I am having the same issue.

I have 3 applications, 3 flavors of the same thing...some screen changes and such between them.  From Powerbuilder 12, I have no problem building the applications including regenerating the PBLs.  Through Powergen, 2 of the apps that use a common datawindow cause the "command line" build to error (causing powergen to shutdown)

The detail of the error is:
AppName: pwrgn12.exe     AppVer: 8.5.0.20     ModName: pbvm120.dll
ModVer: 12.0.0.5530     Offset: 00160cad

pgerror.log shows:
Return code: 116

build command:
Start /Wait Pwrgn12.exe /A={genfile name} /Q

The build has never worked with powergen
The build used to fail when run in PowerBuilder (12) until I setup a DB connection to the appropriate db

Any ideas?

Re: Runtime error when try to run the build,

Sorry for the delay getting back to you.  In the future please contact tech support directly to address your issues.

Can you send the output log from a failed build?  Does the failure occur on the same object every time?

This is likely a configuration related problem.

Regards,

Phil
